On the day before the abolition of licensed brothels in 1958, several prostitutes go to work for the last time. Among them, Naoko attempts to break the record of 26 customers in one day. Focusing entirely on telling the women’s stories without judging or romanticising them, this film is also of interest due to its use of cartoon sketches and enka songs to structure the narrative.
