While stopping at a noodle shop, two truckers meet its owner, the young widow Tampopo. After finding out that she barely earns enough to make ends meet, they decide to help by joining Tampopo on her quest for creating the perfect ramen. Juzo ITAMI combines elements of comedy, Yakuza thrillers, and Westerns to create a work that both satirizes and celebrates Japanese food culture.
