Around the year 1918, during tumultuous times, several people spend their nights in a geisha house, seemingly unaffected by social unrest and political events. Transcending linear narratives, the film sheds light on the experiences of young geisha, whose lives do not differ much from those of ordinary prostitutes. Once more, Tatsumi KUMASHIRO uses such means as the crossing out of intertitles to call attention to the problem of censorship.
