Nippon Culture
The NIPPON CULTURE program, with its numerous workshops, lectures, exhibitions, performances and concerts, invites you to experience the multifaceted Japanese culture. Take part in a haiku walk, immerse yourself in the exciting profession of a novel translator, create your own Kyogen mask or prepare tasty dishes from Matcha tea powder. Filmmaker talks, lectures, and a panel discussion supplement the film program. In the exhibition space Eulengasse, the sculptural work of the young artist Nolico TAKI invites you to a sensory experience. And in Atelierfrankfurt, artist Renalisa Bergmann presents Japanese India ink paintings and shows many-sided motifs from nature in her exhibition “Reduction – Sumi-e!”. The band Ozaka Bondage will celebrate the release of their new album “Forever” on Friday night with crisp beats, gritty basses and flickering lead sounds. On Saturday evening, the musician Aoi Swimming presents her rhythm-based melodies: goal-oriented social criticism meets all sorts of humor. She will be supported by colorful visuals by Mikio SAITO.
